Promising Pillows

The nesting bug continues around my house, albeit at a much slower pace as I near the pregnancy finish line. I'm pretty much down to little projects at this point, and I'm realistic enough to know they won't all get done before Putt-Putt arrives. But I wanted to share the beginning stages of this one with you, in hopes that it will motivate me to finish!

I few weeks ago, I was running a business errand for Jonny and decided to stop in at a local Goodwill while I was out. I had a mission: pillows. And boy did I hit the jackpot that day! I came home with four pillows (there are two of the red flowered ones):

I know, not particularly stylin'. They did all happen to coordinate, which was a total coincidence and not intentional. What I was really looking for was good-condition pillows (not pancake-flattened stuff), and easily removable cases:

Three of them came with zippers, and one with buttons. All four cases were quickly removed once we got home, leaving me with a pile of pillow forms:

Three of these are feather pillows, too! One of these babies would probably cost close to $20+ in a craft store. I paid $3 each! I've got plans to recover them and add to the coziness of our living room - I even have pretty much everything I need to do it. Now I just need to scrounge up some energy...

What have you been working on lately?
