Getting Crafty

While browsing easy craft ideas for our MOPS blog, I came across one that seemed like the perfect fit for moms of little guys - cheap, quick, easy, and supplies likely to already be around! Instead of just posting the link, I thought it would be fun to try this one out and put a little personal touch on the post. Of course, I took pictures for y'all!

Our first shot at watercolors. He seemed to really like it.

Ok, at least he really liked dipping his paintbrush into the water. We're in a dipping faze. his favorite lunch right now is hummus with lots of dip-ables.

Every time the water got dirty, he would look at me and sign for "more." I think I refilled the cup three or four times in the time it took him to paint six coffee filters worth of little leaves:

While he was painting, I cut out letters to go with the leaves. Guess all the free-handing bubble letters practice I got as a teacher came in handy:

And here's the finished product!

My favorite part is that I can tell everyone who comes over that Gavrel made it himself! :-)

If you want the original directions I used as inspiration for this craft, check it out here
