Friends and Dollhouses

Sunday afternoon we went up to the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge to celebrate our friend Jaivi's second birthday. It's not a big place, but it has a lot of interactive things. Gavrel was a big fan of this kid-sized "dollhouse" where everything was within his reach:

And it was fun to see Jaivi and her parents again, too. We don't see them nearly as much now that they have moved, though they're only 15 minutes away. It was also fun to see some of the cultural dynamics - we were the only non-Indian guests there for most of the party. I love that Gavrel has opportunities to be in groups like this, where people are different than us.

Happy Birthday Jaivi!
