Today, I am 27 years old.

It's been a pretty eventful 27th year:

  • I started a new job. And then I left it to begin another, bigger, job.
  • I moved.
  • I took on a new role in the middle school ministry.
  • I wrote a crazy lot of curriculum. And a class on evangelism.
  • I started meal planning.
  • Jonny and I started a small group.
  • I traveled to Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia, Virginia, and Missouri.
  • I am on my fourth washer and dryer set in the last year.
  • I got a Droid phone. Which I love.
  • I read. A lot. A lot a lot. Especially in the last few months, now that the TV is mostly out of the picture.
  • I've met the highest number of non-believers since living in Tennessee.
  • I said goodbye, for this life, to my sweet great-grandma.
  • I gave birth.
  • I fell in love with the most beautiful, perfect, blond-haired, blue-eyed little monkey I have ever seen.
  • My heart grew a little more.
  • I witnessed more of Jesus in the world.

Not a bad year. There are many more adventures waiting for me this coming year, too - some that I know about, and others that will surprise me. I'm embracing 27: This is the year the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Thank you to all who have helped make 27 a great place to be!
