34.4 Weeks

We had a doctor's appointment this morning and an ultrasound to determine size and position. As usual, everything was perfect!

Blood pressure, labs, etc., for mom were all exactly normal (I'd even "lost" three pounds since last appointment - which they said was probably all water weight and didn't seem worried about it). The ultrasound showed baby at about 5 lbs, 12 oz (56th percentile) and head down and facing back. This is what I describe as "locked and loaded and ready to go!" :-)

The only thing that made our doctor do a double-take is that Baby's head is measuring in the 90th percentile - ouch! But my brother was that way too, and my mom delivered him, so I'm not too worried about it.

The biggest thing I hoped to walk away with today was a good face picture. Up to this point, our little Monkey hasn't much cooperated for good ultrasound pictures, and we've never gotten a good look at his/her face. Baby certainly didn't make it easy for us (facing back and had his/her face squished up against the side - I had to lay on my side to even start to get a good angle), but we succeeded! So, finally, here's our Monkey!
I think some look more boyish, and others more girly - what do you think? Either way, the lips definitely come from daddy's side! (Oh, and we were hungry, so Baby has a hand by his/her mouth in some of these.)

it could totally be either...but my guess from the pictures is a boy. :) Im SO excited for you!!!!

Seriously these are so precious! What a sweet face!

So So sweet. I am excited that the time is getting closer and closer. I can't tell if it is a boy or girl...but just a PRECIOUS MONKEY!
