Tonight at our last night of "Birth and Babies Today" class, it was "baby night." We learned how to bathe, diaper, dress, and swaddle babies. This was the night Jon was most looking forward to, since it's the most practical for his near future. :-)

Jon did decide, however, that he had no real desire to try most of these things on another baby until our own arrives. But there were two things he decided he would be ok with practicing on his Christmas baby (a "practice" gift from his mom):
  • Using a cloth diaper and knowing how they go together.
  • Swaddling - His exact words were, "Yeah, that might actually be worth practicing ahead of time."
I thought his two choices were interesting. What (if anything) did you practice before your own babies arrived?
