Abram's Falls

Jonny and I continued the day trip theme this past Friday and made our first excursion together to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. This drive is only 45-60 minutes, and there are lots of trails and things to see in the park. It's close, it's free, it's gorgeous, there's no cell service (nice when you're trying to truly take the day off), and I doubt we could ever run out of things to do there!

We started our one-of-many-to-come trips with a 5-mile round-trip hike to Abrams Falls, located off the west end of the Cade's Cove loop. It was a nice, pleasantly strenuous hike, and the falls are beautiful. It was also nice to just spend the day together away from it all!
