Eggnog Lattes

As noted previously, my roommate and I decided to beat our lack-of-winter blues by putting up the Christmas tree early, among other decorations. Which, of course - according to my roommate - means that we then needed to have mugs of eggnog.

So, we spent a merry evening Christmasifying our house, and then sat back to enjoy the ambiance of the room with mugs in hand. My favorite way to enjoy eggnog is in latte form - steam it a little and put in some espresso. Thanks to my mommy, who is so wonderful at giving gifts, I happen to have an espresso machine with a steaming wand located very conveniently in my kitchen. Said eggnog latte was quite yummy.

At 11PM.

Now, I'm a night person anyway. I've always said that if I could work between the hours of 10PM and 1AM, I would be more productive than an entire normal day of work. So once the Christmas decorations were in place, I got really motivated to make the rest of my house look just as lovely. Little did I know...

I cleaned my room, did the dishes, dusted the whole house (except my roommate's room, of course), lysol-ed my bathroom top to bottom, and washed every piece of clothing/linens/towels/rugs I owned that were not already clean and put in drawers. The only dirty objects by the time I was done were the pajamas I was wearing. My room was neat, the kitchen was clean, and my bathroom was very sanitary by the time I went to bed.

The next morning being Sunday, I got up bright and early and went to the Mix, and then had a leaders' meeting after church service was over. As I was recounting my eggnog latte story, one of the leaders laughed and said, "so then you were up until like 4."

My response: "-thirty."
