Highs and Lows

Every week has a high and low point (usually), and I'm definitely experiencing both right now!

First, on the high note, I was asked this week to choreograph a dance to Switchfoot's "Meant to Live" as part of the upcoming sermon series on Philippians, entitled "Dying to Live." I've always want to be able to do something with dance in a worship setting - if you know me at all, you know how central dance has been to my life. This is a really exciting adventure for me, so pray that I will glorify God with my interpretation of the song and the presentation to the congregation.

On a low, I went home early from work yesterday with a severely upset stomach that I strongly suspect is food poisoning (either from Mexican food on Monday night, or a Starbucks latte on Tuesday morning - I knew I didn't like Starbucks!). It has been pretty painful and I'm a little weak today. It's slowly getting better, but I haven't ventured to eat anything more than a few saltines this morning. Tea and juice are my friends so far, and I'll try slowly introducing some bland food this evening. Pray for healing from that! It's definitely no fun, and my puppy is definitely ready for his mom to have some energy again to play with him!

But it hasn't broken my spirits, so I'm still enjoying my work and my new home. Just another bump in the road!
